How to use the adjective “wrong” in English like a native speaker?

Some English adjectives can have multiple meanings in Spanish and “wrong” is certainly one of them. In today’s post, we are going to see many different ways to use this adjective, which, will improve how well you speak.

Once we have learned how to use it properly, we will learn how to express ourselves so much better, which is the objective of learning any language, of course. If you have any difficulties understanding the different uses, this post is in English and Spanish, therefore you can easily clear up any doubts you have. Let’s look at some examples:

-After listening to your version of events, it is now clear you were wrong.
(not to be right/to be mistaken)

-The way in which they were treated was wrong.
(unjust/unfair)

-She is the wrong person for this job.
(not correct/incorrect)

-We received the wrong information from them.
(false)

-Don’t get me wrong when I say you can’t do it. (expression)
(to be mistaken)

– She is always pronouncing my name wrong.
(badly)

– When you meet my boss, please don’t say the wrong thing. Take care with what you say, please.
(improper)
