Uno de los fallos más gordos cuando hablamos en inglés

Cuando hablamos de lo que vamos a comer, o en este caso de lo que vamos a desayunar en inglés, los españoles solemos meter la pata por lo de siempre: traducir literalmente. A continuación vamos a ver los errores más típicos del Spanglish:

-Voy a desayunar tostadas hoy.

Para traducir esta frase, solemos cometer el siguiente error: *I am going to breakfast toast o *I am going to have breakfast toast, pero la pregunta es ¿por qué casi todos los españoles lo dicen así de mal? La forma correcta de decir esta frase no es otra que:

-I am going to have toast for breakfast.

Cuando queremos decir lo que vamos a comer en el desayuno, la comida o la cena, hay que utilizar la siguiente estructura:

-to have SOMETHING FOR breakfast/lunch/dinner, y no *to breakfast/ have breakfast something como dicen muchos españoles.

Llegará el día en el que empezaremos a hablar bien en inglés. Si pensamos en la frase de arriba, no hay excusa en absoluto. Si dices frases así a menudo, estarás demostrando que tu base de inglés no es buena.
