Valentine’s Day in the UK

El 14 de Febrero en el mundo anglosajón es una fecha importante para los enamorados. Es un día para celebrar y a la gente no le importa gastarse el dinero en sus parejas para asegurarse de que se quedan contentas y queridas en este día tan romántico para muchos.
Sin embargo, hay otra cosa bastante desconocida que está relacionada con nuestro “secret love”.

En Inglaterra, el día de San Valentín (Valentine’s Day) uno aprovecha la oportunidad para ponerse en contacto con su “secret love” enviando una tarjeta de “Valentine´s day” a su casa o incluso al trabajo. Desde luego, el remitente es anónimo pero incluye en la tarjeta un par de pistas para que a quien la recibe le entre la curiosidad de saber más de esa persona.

A los ingleses no se les pasa por la cabeza pensar que el día de san Valentine es un día más o que es un día demasiado comercial. Tienen que marcar ese día en el calendario de una forma especial sí o sí. De no ser así, se pueden encontrar en el “doghouse”. El término “doghouse” significa que alguien será castigado de una forma u otra por haber ignorado el día más romántico del año. :(
